I, too, am having trouble getting past the server "Loading..." screen. The First time I tried on my Android phone from Google Play Store everything seemed to work fine. But I got kicked from that server and everything I have done since to reconnect to a server has led to a hung Loading... screen with crickets chirping. I get ads ok. I get the server list etc ok. I tried uninstalling, restarting, etc. I can't get the game to work again.
I also can't quit the game. I have to force stop.
In an effort to try to remember something I may have done, I can tell you I played with the draw distance settings under the gear at the home start menu.
